![]() TL DR: Tarkov good, not perfect but it's unlike anything else even before you get into the unique gameplay loop/etc.Įdit: My main point is that I think Tarkov strikes a good balance between functionality, intuitiveness and general smoothness of actions. The only things letting Tarkov down is the lack of optimisations, bad netcode and bad initial implementation of mechanics (weight system, etc) These are huge and complicated issues, but once they're solved it'll honestly be the best "realistic" shooter out there if it isn't already even with all it's flaws. The attention to detail in animations, sounds and modelling in this game is already unlike any other. I don't think having to manually use a can opener on a tin improves my immersion if it takes 10 seconds to just operate the UI to do so. Dont warn me again for Insurgency: Sandstorm. may not be appropriate for all ages, or may not be appropriate for viewing at work. The inventory and hotbar system alone is significantly more usable than a game like DayZ. FPS / STUTTER FIX (found on reddit) :: Insurgency: Sandstorm General Discussions. Being able to adjust your crouch height and walk speed in small increments is something I want in literally every game. This game has a lot of QoL functionality that I wish these other games had.Įverything from crawling on the ground and being able to lean to interacting with your gun and sights/attachments is significantly more intuitive and smooth than these other games. I just couldn't help but feel these games are super clunky/unpolished in comparison to EFT. As much as people (and I) shit on this game and its issues, it's significantly more intuitive to play than a lot of "realistic" shooters out there. ![]()
